Rehabilitation Officer (Visual Impairment)
£24,000 pa
Milton Keynes
Fixed-term Contract
Ref: HQ/2059
Action on Hearing Loss is the new name for RNID. We are working for a world where hearing loss doesn’t limit or label people, where tinnitus is silenced and where people value and look after their hearing.
In addition to our work with people with hearing loss, we also provide Sensory Services to local authorities, including Milton Keynes Council. In this role you will work as a Rehabilitation Officer and assess the needs of clients with Visual Impairments (VI) and offer support to them and their families with the aim of improving and sustaining their quality of life and access to services.
With a qualification in Rehabilitation work at Diploma level and experience of working with Visually Impaired people and their families in a social or community support setting, you will have up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and resources relating to VI and a good understanding of the traumatic impact of a sensory impairment on clients, carers and families.
This post is subject to a satisfactory criminal records bureau check.
