The Headlines section appears on random pages - we've started it off and would like you to contribute. It may be local, it may be national, it may be global - get it in and on!

It won't stop here - there's more to come. If you'd like to see any additions to the site then let us know by e-mailing info@rehabworker.co.uk

Remember, the site exists because we spend the money and (hopefully) you participate - its organic - without one of these it dies! We don't want your money we want your thoughts, contributions, arguments and opinions. We may not agree with what you say but it'll still get published - we don't judge, if it's legal we'll post it!

We hope you enjoy the new look - have fun!

Budget briefcase

What is happening to services in your area?

The Government needs to make huge cuts in public services - Police, NHS, Social Care, Education, Local Authority - all will see budgets drastically reduced. The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) will be expected to ‘contribute’ £1.185bn towards £6.2bn of savings designed to tackle the £156bn deficit.

We have already heard about wage 'freezes' and posts not being filled - are we in for another 'winter of discontent'?

If you work in Social Care, most of you do, let us know what is happening in your team. We will collate the responses to form a picture over the coming months. Let us know of any new initiatives you have adopted to help reduce the impact of any 'cutbacks' or any services that will no longer be offered to people with a sight loss.

If you work for a charity, how do the cutbacks affect the services you deliver?
